The Hala lei is the most traditional Hawaiian lei that we carry at Cindy's and symbolizes new beginnings. The word hala means "fault, error, to pass". The Hala lei is given to honor the passing of a loved one, to honor someone for a momentous achievement, or to honor the welcoming of a new venture. Our Hala lei is garnished with neatly clipped lau'ae ferns and adds a handsome, natural dimension to this hardy lei. It also dries well and those that receive it typically keep it as a memento.
