Hawaii's Finest Flower Lei Stand for Four Generations

About Us

ALOHA! We are a full service lei store offering a large variety of fresh Hawaiian leis. Our specialty is twofold: preparing leis for special occasions, and shipping leis to the mainland United States.

Owner Cindy Lau is well known for her customer care and expertise in the lei industry. Her goal is simple: offer the best variety of leis at reasonable prices. After 50 years the store continues to serve generations of Hawaiian families and mainlanders, earning local and national recognition as Hawaii's best.

We invite you to join our tradition of giving a lei to someone you love or wish to honor. Welcome to Cindy's Lei Shoppe!

History

Cindy's Lei Shoppe has long been recognized as a landmark in Chinatown, one of the oldest lei stands in Hawaii, and the local favorite to buy fresh flower leis.

Cindy believes it was her good fortune to marry into a first generation Chinese-American family that sold leis and corsages out of the Lau barbershop in the 1950s. Born and raised in Canton, China, Cindy was astutely aware of her need to master not only the English language, but the trade and craft of lei making and lei selling as well. From 1961, devoted husband, children, and family worked tireless hours in that same Chinatown location to establish her own store, and named it Cindy's Lei Shoppe.

Cindy is proud to have a daughter, two sons, spouse, and grandchildren to continue this fourth generation family business. The shop continues to be honored for its variety, availability and customer care. Mention "leis", and Cindy's Lei Shoppe will follow as Hawaii's best.
