December Sale:
Old-Fashion Ginger
This is actually one of the "originals" of Hawaiian leis, the ginger or "awapuhi" lei. This is a labor of love, where each ginger bud has to be manually opened before the stringer can put it on her needle. Ginger is one of our most fragile flowers. To give this lei a stronger shelf life we trim the stems very short so that the blossoms can be strung tightly together and have stronger, feathery tension. One of our great keepers for our local kamaaina people.
