The word Hala means "fault, error, to pass". The hala lei is given to honor the passing of a loved one, to honor someone for a momentous achievement, or to honor the welcoming of a new venture. Our hala lei is garnished with
neatly clipped lau'ae ferns and adds a handsome,
natural dimension to this hardy lei. Also dries well.
Usually the receiver will keep this lei as a memento.
